1. What services do you offer at Powerful Principles?
+
At Powerful Principles, we offer a range of mental health counseling services for children and adolescents, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, individual counseling, family counseling, and tailored treatment plans.
2. Who can benefit from your services?
+
Our services are ideal for children and adolescents who may be struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, or coping with stressors. Our goal is to nurture resilient minds and foster personal growth.
3. What is your approach to treatment?
+
We focus on evidence-based approaches, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help our clients understand their thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. Our compassionate and empathetic professionals create a safe environment for self-discovery and healing.
4. Do you accept insurance?
+
At Powerful Principles, we are out-of-network providers. While we don’t accept insurance directly, we can provide you with a Superbill, which is a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
5. What is a Superbill?
+
A superbill is a receipt for a session with an out-of-network counselor allowing the patient to submit their therapy bill to their health insurance. A superbill may be requested by a patient of a mental health professional when the patient pays out-of-pocket for the qualified medical expense. Reimbursement will be determined by the individual healthcare policy at the time the claim is received. The statement reflects the date(s) of service (DOS), the service code or CPT code, the diagnosis code(s), and the billed amount from the rendering provider, along with their credentials.
6. How often do sessions occur?
+
The frequency of sessions depends on the unique needs of each client. Typically, we recommend weekly sessions, especially at the beginning of the therapeutic process. The frequency can be adjusted based on progress and individual needs.
7. How long does each session last?
+
Each session typically lasts about 45-50 minutes. The duration may be adjusted based on the client’s age, needs, and specific treatment plan.
8. Is my privacy protected?
+
We are committed to ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of our clients. We adhere to all professional standards and regulations regarding client privacy. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
9. How do I get started with Powerful Principles?
+
To get started, you can reach out to us through our Contact Us page or call us directly. We will schedule an initial consultation to discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and determine the most suitable approach for you or your child.
10. Can I schedule an appointment for my child if I am a non-custodial parent?
+
Both parents typically need to provide consent for a child to receive therapy. If you have specific questions or unique circumstances, please contact us to discuss the details.
11. Do you offer virtual counseling services?
+
Yes, we offer teletherapy services, allowing clients to receive counseling remotely via video call, however; we’ve found that while this option provides flexibility and convenience, the overall level of support when attending in-person sessions is significantly more effective.
12. Do you have any resources for parents?
+
Absolutely! We provide resources, guidance, and support for parents to help them understand and navigate their child’s mental health journey. We believe that involving parents in the therapeutic process is essential for successful outcomes.
